Multi-Layer Security Testing for SD-WAN
As part of my academic research project, I designed and tested a multi-layered security framework for Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN). The work involved configuring and evaluating layers for transport security, identity management, and intrusion detection using tools like Snort IDS, vManage, ELK Stack, and RADIUS. The project improved detection accuracy, reduced false positives, and demonstrated how layered defense enhances SD-WAN resilience against advanced threats.
Red Team Simulation – Bank of Abyssinia
As a VAPT employee at Bank of Abyssinia, I conducted simulated cyberattacks on the Bank of Abyssinia network and web applications to evaluate security readiness. Using Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Snort, I identified high-impact vulnerabilities, tested incident response effectiveness, and collaborated with the blue team to fine-tune detection rules and improve real-time threat visibility.
E-commerce Platform Security – ORDRKING
As a Security Operations & Threat Assessment Intern at BitwareByte Technologies, under the RITA Africa Mastery Phase Internship Program, I worked on securing the e-commerce platform ORDRKING . My tasks included setting up security monitoring dashboards with Wazuh, Security Onion, and AWS GuardDuty, performing bi-weekly vulnerability scans, ensuring data privacy compliance with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, and assisting in secure coding audits. I also contributed to user security awareness campaigns, strengthening the platform’s overall security and resilience.
